Lace up your running shoes and join us for the 21st annual Kitchen 5k Fun Run on May 12, presented by CU Community Credit Union. All proceeds benefit the children at The Kitchen’s Family Nurturing Center. In 2011, the Family Nurturing Center received a check for $16,882. To date, almost $182,000 has been raised to benefit this community.
If running’s not your sport…bring your puppy for the one-mile Mutt Strutt. There’s even a special pet costume contest with celebrity judges, plus vendors and nonprofit agencies from our animal community.
The event is held at City Utilities Main Office, 301 East Central. The Mutt Strutt starts promptly at 8 a.m., and the 5k race/walk begins at 8:15 a.m.
