Construction Loan Specialist Role

Oversee the construction and draw process for all residential construction loans currently in progress.

Work Environment

No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (such as in a typical office).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Receives, reviews and funds construction loan draw requests, confirming accuracy and completion of documentation received prior to disbursing funds.
  • Works closely with members and their builders, answering questions, fielding requests and providing overall guidance on the construction loan process.
  • Maintains accurate and complete records of all construction loans in progress including invoices, lien waivers, and progress inspection reports to ensure project is on track for final financing.
  • Reviews initial loan budget for completeness and feasibility and onboards new construction loans to construction management system once closed.
  • Processes approved construction loan modifications for extension and/or line of credit increases as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills

One year to three years of similar or related experience.

A high school education or GED.

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Must have good communication skills. Ten key calculator, typewriter, and keyboard skills.
